Come and visit "Lutherans up North" Friday September 3rd - Sunday September 5th

and join St. Luke's in celebrating the 25th Anniversary of our Church in Leeds

Friday Sept. 3rd we'll welcome you to Yorkshire with supper at St. Luke's at 7.00 pm

On Saturday we're off to Bradford to visit the home of the Polish congregation there at St. Matthew's Church House, and then on to the German Evangelical Church, where Dietrich Bonhoeffer spent some time during his visit to Bradford in 1933 for the conference of the German Evangelical Clergy of Great Britain, when the Bradford Declaration was made about the political situation that was developing in Germany. The church has recently been refurbished and is now also home to the Delius Arts and Cultural Centre.

Then it's back to Leeds to visit the Emmanuel Centre, part of the University Chaplaincy, where the International Student's Centre is based. Later, we'll make our way to Kirkstall to visit the Abbey, one of the best preserved Cistercian monasteries in the country. In the evening, back at St. Luke's, we'll be enjoying our Celebration Parish Dinner.

On Sunday morning we'll be celebrating an Anniversary Holy Communion at 10.30, which will be followed by a barbecue in the garden (or lunch in the social room if the weather isn't kind).

If you are interested, please contact Annette Higgins on 01274 615 365 or via the Contact Us page as soon as possible. In order to arrange accommodation we would need to know your name, address, telephone number, email address and whether you have any special dietary needs.
